What we keep about you

What we keep

What you give us on the order form: your name, email, phone number, the address we return your comics to, and the details of each comic (title, issue, declared value, service, notes). We add our own records of the work: status, notes, photos of your comics, invoices and payments, and the tracking number for your return.

Why

To run your order, to contact you about it, to show it to you when you sign in, and to keep the invoice and payment records the tax rules require. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts this website and keeps our order database.
• Postmark sends our emails to you.
• Square or PayPal take online payments, when you pay that way. We never see or keep your card number. E-transfers go through your own bank.
• Google supplies the fonts this site uses, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and whether it is verified. We use it only to find your existing account. We do not get your Google password, contacts or anything else, and we do not create an account from it.
• Shipping carriers see the name and address on your parcel.

Cookies

When you sign in, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not run advertising or analytics scripts on this site.

Photos

We photograph your comics for your own record and show them to you when you sign in. We show them publicly only if you tick the box that allows it on your order.

How long we keep it

We delete your personal details after five years with no activity. Invoice and payment records are kept separately for as long as tax records have to be kept.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, by emailing cam@freshlypressedcomics.ca. We will answer within a few days. Deleting your details does not delete the invoice and payment records we have to keep.
